I reviewed this over a 5 month period and included all costs from IBKR and from C2.
The Hydra Options Spread strategy delivers exceptional returns that justify its $417/month cost (9x coverage). With a 63.62% return in just 5.3 months and a Sharpe ratio of 2.68, this is institutional-grade performance that significantly outperforms buy-and-hold strategies.
PROS
Strong Core Strategy: The system's use of volatility spreads and defined-risk positions demonstrates sophisticated options knowledge. A 63% win rate and 4-day average drawdown recovery show genuine edge, not luck.
Excellent Risk-Adjusted Returns: The Sharpe ratio of 2.68 is outstanding—you're getting well-compensated for the risk taken. The strategy maintains smart cash reserves (40-50%) and uses spreads to control exposure effectively.
Real, Verified Profits: After deducting $3,499 in total costs (C2 subscription + IBKR fees), you still net over $20,000 CAD. The strategy pays for itself and then some.
CONS
Short Track Record: Five months is insufficient to evaluate performance across different market regimes. What happens in a sustained bear market or low-volatility grind? We don't know yet. This stellar period could have benefited from favorable conditions.
High Cost Burden: At 15.7% of gross profits going to fees and subscriptions, you're paying premium prices. While currently justified by performance, any degradation in returns would make this cost structure problematic. Areduction in monthly fees would make this more manageable.

This trader is very weak - I never seen such a disaster. He does not trade the chart - he trades his conviction. The chart shows that USD will turn around but he playsiver weeks the opposite (hoping for recovery), because he has heard USD will fall into hell. No, it does not work so.
He does not respect SL at all, look at drowndown of 40% within 2 monthd. Never ever a strategy from this trader.
BTW. he did it already in the past, after few very good months eventuelly blowed up the account.
BEWARE! Strategy manager publishes "Maximum allowed drawdown 10% per month" yet I am down over 20% so he doesn't actually do what he promises to mitigate your risk. He uses a Martingale-type strategy whereby he keeps "doubling down" (though I don't mean that literally with actual 2x although recently I did actually see roughly doubling of position size). This strategy keeps the win rate high but it comes at the price of potentially severe leverage and the possibility of massive losses which can wipe out an account. If he cannot be trusted to cut losses at his stated max drawdown, then just realize you can blow up your account. I'm currently in the middle of one of his deep drawdowns and hope for the best before I shut this down forever. Why can't there just be professional managers on this platform!?????
I’ve been with C2 for over 15 years, and I have yet to find a strategy that aligns better with my trading philosophy than Market Posture. The performance has been outstanding, achieved with remarkably low drawdowns.
I believe this level of success is largely due to the strategy manager, Joao, who actively and diligently manages the strategy, responding swiftly to market dynamics. While the strategy is still relatively young and recent market conditions have been favorable, I have strong confidence in Joao’s ability to continue delivering solid results even in challenging market environments.
I've only been in this one for 10 weeks, but it's already up 11% in that time. I like that there is such a long track record. It seems that improvements have been made to this system over time.
Hydra is awesome! The trading strategy is sooo well risk managed. While some trades hit it out of the park, the consistent small profits compound faster than you can believe. Highly recommend!
It's been a game changer so far with Hydra Options. Not only are we seeing exponential gains at times, but there is also real accountability when it comes to risk and capital management. I think that is something we all appreciate. They also have great communication and support on their Discord group which is really helpful as a daily tool. This has been a great ride so far, looking forward to continued growth!
I have been subscribed to this strategy since Jan 2024. This strategy did well in the first half of 2024 . But it has pretty much gone down hill for the last year. I have sent at least couple of detailed messages to the strategy manager outlining concerns and all I get is "my system is awesome". Well, if his system was awesome his equity curve would be much better. The data shows for itself. The manager's daily emails have vanished at this point. His weekly commentary makes little to no sense. The manager at this point is just milking the last few set of subscribers who aren't paying attention and fleecing them. So terrible. Wonder how professionals can be at peace knowing they are cheating subscribers. Hindsight I should have cut the cord on this subscription sooner. The only reason I stuck around so long is because I auto-traded a very small percentage of this strategy and booked regular profits and hedged along the way on my personally traded portfolio (through covered calls and what not). BlackBoulder has lost his ooomph. Please do not subscribe!
BE WARNED!!!! I have lost a lot of money with this. And, the strategy manager has ignored all of my message requests for help understanding what is their plan with my huge drawdowns. They don't deserve your business for that rudeness alone.
As for the strategy, as best as I can tell, they just keep adding to losing positions until it turns (which still mine has not). You can't do that indefinitely with trending markets like major indices without sometimes getting seriously burned. There should be a warning on this site about managers who just juice their win rates by continually just adding to losing positions at the expense of your capital. Don't be fooled. It might work for a bit but huge drawdowns commonly await.
STAY AWAY!!!! I lost so much money with this. Worse, the strategy manager ignored the majority of my communications in which I tried to obtain some information during huge, growing drawdowns. When they finally replied, they basically just told me to exit myself! So not only did I lose money but they seriously don't deserve your business either.
